ABOUT

For two decades, Gina Kelley, SEP, SRR, M.AmSAT, E-RYT,  has been a mind-body educator, helping clients find greater balance, ease, and well-being. She has completed the 3-year training in Somatic Experiencing®, the powerful method created by Peter Levine for healing trauma and stress, and increasing nervous system regulation and capacity. Gina is also an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique Teacher, with 1600 hours of training in functional movement, developmental movement, anatomy, breath coordination, and hands-on skilled touch. Her yoga education includes trainings in vinyasa, yin, restorative, and therapeutic yoga.

Gina maintains a private practice located at the Charlottesville Wellness Center, working with a wide range of individuals interested in improving their general well-being, nervous system health and capacity, recovering from injury or trauma, or who experience challenges such as anxiety, body discomfort/disconnection, or related issues in everyday aspects of living. Gina’s style is gentle and welcoming, and she believes that with proper support, each person has the capacity for self-directed optimal well-being.

She also teaches Attune Yoga and Movement, a unique movement practice that synthesizes mindfulness, gentle hatha yoga, intelligent alignment, and principles from the Alexander Technique and Somatic Experiencing.

Gina holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Social Philosophy, and previously worked for fifteen years in non-profit management, within organizations serving at-risk youth and their families.
